The image above is static, but the counters you can get on the site are real stats. I didn’t realize saying something is “so gay” is still used or seen as acceptable. Clearly it is.
I can’t recall if I personally used the term “gay” as a negative word when I was in middle or high school, but I know I was not actively opposed to it then either. My guess is that youth are the primary users of these terms, but I could be wrong.
Have you heard someone recently use the “gay” as a negative slur?

I’ve Add Comments…So, Comment.

So, for the last 2.5 years I’ve posted 1510 posts (mostly of random stuff I find online) on this tumblr account, and in the process accumulated some 2244 followers (give or take).

During that time this blog has been largely one-sided. No commenting, I just post stuff I find interesting. And then people repost and like as they wish. All in good fun.

Anyways, I’d like to make things a bit more interactive, so I’ve added comments. I’m still working on the styling and integration with the blog, but I just wanted you to know they are there. So leave the Tumblr dashboard for a second and say hello.

Oh, and answer this question: What has been your favorite post you’ve seen on tryingtofollow?
